Second instalment of Climatology of bodies initiated in 2004 with the duet Pluie, Sylvain Émard's new work, Temps de chien, explores the uncertainties, uneasiness and desires provoked by an increasingly unsettled environment. The choreography underscores the fundamental humanism and sensuality of bodies that are standing witness to such transformations. While daily life conspires to keep us off balance, we are distracted with tales of easy bliss. The choreography underscores the fundamental humanism and sensuality of bodies that are standing witness to such transformations. The bodies alternate between defiance and insouciance, finally leaping into a comfort zone where there is neither memory nor a future.

Temps de Chien has benefited from several creation residencies at Le Studio de l'Agora de la danse (Montreal), at Le Grand Théâtre (Lorient-France) and a 3-week creative residency at the Banff Centre (Alberta) in August 2005 where the company presented a preview performance on September 3 at the Eric Harvie Theatre.

Temps de chien was presented at the Usine C of Montréal on October 13, 14, 15, 19, 20, 21 and 22 of the year 2005. After the splendid performance of this co-production in June 2006 at the Canada Dance Festival of the National Arts Center, Sylvain Emard embarked on an extensive European tour in the spring of 2007.
