35-year Countdown: The Story Continues!
Our grand anniversary campaign is well underway!
From our latest shows to our very first steps to, we invite you to relive 35 years of dance and collaboration.
Since August, our social media has been taking you back in time. After revisiting our most recent works, it’s now time to explore our unpublished archives—sometimes unexpected, often moving.
You may already have discovered:
● A surprising anecdote… what’s the link between Sylvain Émard and Super Mario?
● The heartfelt testimony of steadfast dancer Marie-Michelle Darveau, who shared: “The most beautiful thing about Sylvain is his ability to draw us into his vision, his work, his complexity—while allowing us to be fully ourselves, as artists and human beings.”
Follow us on our social networks and join us as we dive into these vivid memories, souvenirs that will set the pace for the countdown to our big event this autumn.
1 Anniversary, 2 Ways to Celebrate
Much more than a festive get-together, LE GRAND CONTINENTAL remix benefit performance pays tribute to the bold choreography of Sylvain Émard and his artistic vision, firmly focused on democratizing dance. On November 2, 2025, the company therefore invites the general public to attend the dress rehearsal of this shimmering remix.
It is an opportunity to be part of the celebration, while also allowing Sylvain Émard to continue creating striking, accessible works that showcase Québec dance, both here and abroad.
Olivier Parent Joins the Company in Touring and Development
We are pleased to announce that Sylvain Émard Danse, together with Le Carré des Lombes, welcomes Olivier Parent as Touring and Development Manager.
Extremely passionate about the performing arts, Olivier made his mark in the theatre milieu before bringing his expertise to work in contemporary dance. His career, which combines artistic experience and cultural management skills, led him to the agency FÔVE diffusion, where he further developed his expertise in touring the performing arts from 2022 to 2025. We are delighted that he has decided to work with us as he continues to promote Québec dance.
You can meet him at Focus Danse (Biennale de la danse de Lyon) from September 16 to 21, where he will be promoting our dance shows on the international scene.
